SUPERNE ROTE: M° MATTIA MARIA GIUSTI
"Conducting is not a passion, it's a vocation. Vocation to embark on a path of immense beauty. Today as yesterday, that irrepressible enthusiasm flares up in me, that unstoppable momentum, that combative grit that allows me to advance in the knowledge and mastery of this discipline. My youth ennobled and invigorated by the daily and disciplined study of the scores of the great composers. A continuous moral, mental and physical effort with which I intend not to foment magic, dreams or easy euphorias but to give substance to a truth known to saints, philosophers, artists of all times and which using Baudelaire's words I can paraphrase like this: I direct great music so that the soul of the listener can intuit the Light that shines beyond the grave."
Mattia Maria Giusti
Born in 1992, Mattia Maria Giusti approaches the study of conducting at a very young age, deepening and reconciling in his technical-gestural language the Viennese tradition of Hans Swarowsky with the Italian one
by Arturo Toscanini. At the age of 26 he graduated in orchestral conducting, choral conducting and modern percussion. He specialized in orchestra conducting in Vienna at the Wiener Musikakademie. Numerous masterclasses attended and held by
teachers and masters of clear national and international fame. In 2019 he founded the Superne Rote Philharmonic Orchestra, a new emerging reality on the Italian musical scene. The study of Baroque repertoires is transversal,
classic, romantic and contemporary in both the symphonic/chamber and opera fields. Analytical rigor, mnemonic learning, gestural elegance, coherence and interpretative transparency are the cornerstones of his approach to the score and his conducting performances whose ultimate musical result wants to be an expression of the three transcendental categories of: Truth, Goodness, Beauty.
